Since 1973 Hembrug, an independent machine manufacturer in the Netherlands, have designed and built  almost wear free, fully hydrostatic ultra precision hard turning machines. The Hembrug Mikroturn® machine series represent more than 40 years of experience and expertise  in hydrostatics and ultra-precision hard turning technology and are able to achieve the highest accuracy that is currently possible with hard turning.  The Hembrug Mikroturn® machine series can achieve the following tolerances in workpieces having hardness 58 – 62 HRC up to a diameter of 1500 mm.

Hembrug offer the technological solution for manufacturers that use grinding as main production method, but are looking for a technology that brings improved productivity, improved workpiece accuracy, longer tool life and  all against lower costs.

The company is looking to develop in the UK and while the market is somewhat niche, there is potential for growth.  Interestingly, Hembrug has also developed a new fully hydrostatic 5-axis hard milling machine called the Nano-Focus, again capable of ±1 micron. The machine won the "Dutch Technishow Innovation Award" last year.

Hembrugs range of Vertical Machines range from medium to large and cab be adapted for tailor made solutions to suit various customer requirements.
